Our professional spotting service alerts us to the activities and whereabouts of the orcas so that we are able to give you the best whale watching tour we can! This whale watching tour gives you the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch San Juan Islands' world-famous orca whales, also known as "killer whales," play and interact in their natural habitat. The Islands are home to three families, or pods, that migrate to the island waters for the summer months.
Be sure to keep your eyes open for the abundance of other active sea life such as Mink Whales and Gray Whales. Gray whales often travel through the islands on their way into the open sea! Being one of the largest marine mammal species on earth, you'll easily spot a gray whale as it comes up for a breath of air!
The islands are home to plenty of sea lions, Dall's porpoises, otters and jumping salmon to keep you entertained. And if you look high into the sky, you might even spot a bald eagle or two! Almost 90 bald eagles make their nests on Washington's San Juan Island - more than in any other state in the continental US! The stunning sight of these endangered animals will surely take your breath away!
