You'll board your Victoria Clipper at Pier 69 in downtown Seattle and start on your 3.5 hour scenic journey via Deception Pass to San Juan Island's Friday Harbor!

Sit back and take in the sights as you sail through Puget Sound toward the San Juan Islands! With plenty of leg room, you'll be comfortable and cozy in our roomy seats. Choose a seat with a table to make catching up on work or playing a game of cards easy. Or sit next to the window and see beautiful island towns and regional wildlife as you sail by. Whale and Sea Life Search

Once you arrive at Friday Harbor you'll ride in style and comfort as the Clipper III whisks you out into the beautiful open waters of the San Juan Islands. As you cruise away from dry land, keep your ears and eyes open for the bustle of orca whales, sea lions, Dall's porpoises, otters and much more! On this amazing Orca whale watching adventure, you get to see up-close the San Juan Islands' sea life and majestic orca whales while enjoying an exciting ride aboard the Clipper III!

This whale watching tour gives you the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch San Juan Islands' world-famous orca whales, also known as "killer whales," play and interact in their natural habitat. The Islands are home to three families, or pods, that migrate to the island waters for the summer months. Experience the sights and sounds of these playful creatures in all their glory as they glide and dive through the water.

Our professional spotting service alerts us to the activities and whereabouts of the orcas so that we are able to give you the best whale watching tour we can! You'll just sit back and relax while we locate the whales. Our crew will alert you to any activity our radar detects.

The island waters also host many other species of whales. Though killer whales are the most populous, gray whales and mink whales have also been spotted on whale watching tours. Gray whales often travel through the islands on their way into the open sea! Being one of the largest marine mammal species on earth, you'll easily spot a gray whale as it comes up for a breath of air!

As you head into whale territory, be sure to keep your eyes open for the abundance of active sea life. The islands are home to plenty of sea lions, Dall's porpoises, otters and jumping salmon to keep you entertained. And if you look high into the sky, you might even spot a bald eagle or two! Almost 90 bald eagles make their nests on Washington's San Juan Island - more than in any other state in the continental US! The stunning sight of these endangered animals will surely take your breath away!

Directions:

From the North or South of Seattle:
Exit Mercer Street and turn right at the light. Go one block and turn left onto Valley Street. Continue on Valley Street, which turns into Broad Street, until you reach the waterfront at Pier 70. Turn left onto Alaskan Way and continue for 1/2 block. The Victoria Clipper Terminal is on the water at Pier 69, between Pier 70 and the Edgewater Hotel.

From Downtown Seattle:
Head toward the waterfront. Streets that go through are Madison Street and Broad Street. If you are on Madison, turn right (or North) on Alaskan Way. Continue for 1.5 miles. The Victoria Clipper Terminal is on the water at Pier 69, between Pier 70 and the Edgewater Hotel.

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Recommended for all tours in Seattle: Comfortable shoes, extra layer of warm clothing, hats, visors and sunglasses.
