There are over 89 orca whales that make the San Juan Islands their home Mid-April to October. San Juan Safaris has a whale sighting record of over 90 % - your best chance to see Orcas in the wild.

On this tour you can also see soaring eagles, playful seals, impressive sea lions, and flights of seabirds. Onboard, your expert naturalist-guides and captain will familiarize you with the local Orca, marine mammals, birds, plants, the island's eco system and geology throughout your cruise.

You will see some of the most amazing vistas of Mt Baker, the Olympic Mountains, Canada and shorelines of the islands. Because tour sizes are kept classroom size, you'll have plenty of interaction with the naturalists. Guests tell us that these naturalists are great and that they learned so much from them.

Enjoy a brand new vessel that was built specifically for these waters and specifically for whale watching and wildlife viewing. It is a 55" fast, stable boat with a roomy indoor cabin, walk around deck, seating outside and a bathroom. Tours depart from Friday Harbor right next to the ferry

The center is located on the North West side of San Juan Island at Roche Harbor.

Passengers should meet at this address 15 minutes prior to departure.

Ferries are available from Seattle, to San Juan Island. The ferry (owned by Victoria Clipper) lands in Friday Harbor, which is on the east side of San Juan Island. The ferry ride from Seattle to San Juan Island (Friday Harbor) is approximately 3.5 hours.

In our opinion, you do not need to bring your car across. If you are taking a tour from Roche Harbor, just ask us about the FREE shuttle. There are many ways of getting around San Juan Island. The small town of Friday Harbor is accessible just by walking. It is only about 4 blocks X 4 blocks. There are also bicycles, mopeds and scoot cars for rent right near the ferry landing, plus the shuttle bus.

This tour must be booked at least 48 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Recommended for all tours in SEATTLE: Comfortable FLAT shoes, extra layer of warm clothing, hats, sunglasses, water bottle and a snack.

Weather: Tour route or activity may be changed depending on local weather conditions.

Meals, Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included.
