Wenatchee River Half Day Rafting Trip

One of the top 10 river rafting trips in the country! The fantastic combination of hot weather and huge waves makes the Wenatchee our most popular river rafting trip for beginners and experienced rafters alike. With its headwaters in the heart of the Central Cascades and the snow white peaks of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area, the Wenatchee River has the largest volume of raftable water in Washington State. A class 3 to 3+ river, it's known for its long calm stretches and its very distinctive and powerful rapids, the largest rapids in the state! Since there are few other obstructions on the river other than the occasional bridge pillar, the Wenatchee River is a very "forgiving" river and almost any age and ability has a blast here.

In addition to rafting, the Wenatchee River area offers plenty of things to do and is home to the town of Leavenworth, an authentically recreated Bavarian Village that's a favorite of visitors from all over the country.

 

Wenatchee River Half Day Rafting Trip

The most action packed section of our full day trip! If your short on time, this is the trip for you. You will experience 70% of all the rapids the Wenatchee has to offer. You'll start right off at the entrance to the fun-filled Upper Gorilla, then prepare for the big ones - Drunkards Drop, Grannies, and the legendary Suffactor. Many more thrills are along the way. See how you do trying to get into the Cave! Not everyone makes it! Sorry, no BBQ on this trip!

You will begin your trip at Cashmere's Riverside Park, where your guides will be waiting. We will have a light snack for you (chips and salsa, cheese and crackers) as well as all of your river gear (wetsuits, booties, lifejackets, paddles). After getting changed into your gear, we will shuttle you up to our put-in right past Leavenworth.

The guides will give a safetly talk on things you'll need to remember for the day, so be sure to pay attention! Then, you'll meet your guide for the day and go over any other questions you may have...and you're off to tackle the most action-packed section of the Wenatchee!

The river trip itself is about 2 hours long. We'll take out at Riverside Park, where your cars and dry clothes will be waiting.

Provided for You:

Farmer John style wetsuits - full body without sleeves, Neoprene booties, Coast Guard Approved life jackets, Water resistant drybags on each raft - for extra sweaters, hats, etc.

Recommended Gear List:

Swim Suit or Shorts - to be worn under wetsuit, Light rain jacket or wind breaker, Fleece or wool sweater, Thermal Underwear - except for in July and  August, Sunscreen, Water bottle, Change Of clothes - to be left in your car for after the trip, Towel.

NOTE: Please do not wear any cotton clothing (sweatshirts, jeans, etc.). Unlike wool and polypropylene, cotton will not keep you warm when it gets wet.

Your credit card will be charged the total amount of products and services selected at the time of booking. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover Cards.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

This tour must be booked at least 24hrs in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print this voucher on and present SIGNED voucher at departure location. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 14 days of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 14 days are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Weather
We seldom cancel or postpone a trip, but we reserve the right to do so when necessary: due to water conditions, weather, insufficient reservations, or other reasons beyond our control. In such a case, your fees will be refunded or applied to another trip, but not expenses incurred in travel.

Exceptions
During peak spring/early summer run-off, we reserve the right to transfer parties from flooded rivers that same day, usually to the Wenatchee River or Skagit River, which can accommodate much higher flows. No refunds or rescheduling.

Releases
Prior your rafting trip, each person will be required to sign a liability release at the river. Minors must have a legal guardian sign for them.

Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included
If you feel your guide has done a great trip for you, please feel free to tip your guide. Tipping is optional but always appreciated. How much is up to you - most people tip as they would in a restaurant, between 10-20% of the cost of the trip or stay

On some tours and activities the size of the vehicle depends on the number of passengers booked for that particular day. Tour companies reserve the right to change the size of the vehicle.
